LEARNER COMMITMENTS

CIS Learner Commitments

At the Canadian International School, we believe that every student contributes to creating a safe, respectful, inclusive, and high-performing learning community. As CIS students, we are expected to demonstrate the values of responsibility, integrity, respect, and citizenship in all aspects of school life.

We Respect Ourselves and Others

• Treat all members of the CIS community with kindness, courtesy, and respect.
• Celebrate and value the diverse cultures, backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives within our school.
• Demonstrate good manners and positive relationships with peers, staff, parents, and visitors.

We Take Responsibility for Our Learning

• Attend school regularly and arrive prepared and on time.
• Actively participate in learning and make our best effort in all classes.
• Complete assignments, assessments, and responsibilities with honesty and integrity.
• Seek support when needed and take ownership of our personal growth and success.

We Contribute to a Safe and Positive School Environment

• Follow school expectations and the guidance of staff members.
• Move safely throughout the school and use facilities responsibly.
• Remain in designated areas during the school day.
• Help create a welcoming environment where everyone feels safe, included, and supported.

We Take Pride in Our School

• Respect school property, resources, and the belongings of others.
• Wear the CIS uniform correctly and represent the school with pride.
• Act as positive ambassadors for CIS both on and off campus, recognizing that our actions reflect on ourselves and our school community.

We Demonstrate Responsible Citizenship

• Use technology, social media, and digital tools responsibly and respectfully.
• Make choices that reflect the values and expectations of the United Arab Emirates and the Canadian International School.

Together, we create a school culture where all students are challenged, respected, and encouraged to achieve excellence.
